'It Will Happen' - Movie Magazine Cover Flat Plan

This is the Movie Magazine Cover flat plan, and will serve as a template for the final product

Again the green background signifies that i will add an image towards my final product, this will happen very shortly and will post what will be the final product in another post.
This magazine cover i have, like my Movie Poster made entirely from scratch on the GIMP program and again i am quite pleased with how it turned out.

'It Will Happen' - Film Poster Flat Plan.

This is a flat plan of my Film poster created on GIMP, the green represents the the image i will add for the final product, which at this moment is undecided.

I felt that this film poster will suit my style of genre, i also felt the layout looked quite professional and would fit in along side other posters for this genre of film, overall i was quite please with this flat plan as this was my first experience of designing a poster from scratch, the font used was from this website: http://www.dafont.com/

Genre and My Target Audience.

From my target audience question i have determined that my ideal audience is the older teenage/adult age range, this result however was what i had in mind before filming and it came as no surprise when counting up the surveys.

The genre i have chosen is something i have a lot of experience with and have great interest in, having my own take into this genre is something that i have wanted to do, the Horror genre is fascinating and has an incredible wide range of styles, some of the more recent films i have seen use a particular style i will be using for my own project.

Target Audience Research Survey:

Here is my target audience questionnaire which i will use to determine my target audience for my Teaser Trailer:

The questions i used in this survey were ones i felt would easily narrow down my target audience, the other questions used such as 'How Often Do You Visit The Cinema' were used in general interest of the results and didn't have much if an impact on my Genre chose.

Content analysis

1# This cover features the distinctive 'EMPIRE' title, bold, red and very eye-catching towards the audience. The cover also features Daniel Radcliffe in the centre grasping a wider range of potential costumers for this issue .

2# This cover features Megan Fox as eye candy, obviously aiming for the male market and going so far as to cover the 'EMPIRE' logo with her demonstrating that this magazine is popular and well known enough to know what it's called anyway thus making it stand out more.

These are a couple of movie poster examples of which i hope to use as inspiration for my own, comparing these together they come across as being very different, for example the 'Paranormal Activity' poster has the title on the poster, as this is the first film this makes sense, however on the 'Nightmare On Elm Street' poster we get no title only '2010' and the web address written in small font, this shows how well the franchise of 'Nightmare On Elm Street' is known by only having the shadowy figure of Freddy Krueger  showing off his gigantic hedge trimmer.
